Garware Hi-Tech Films is an Indian manufacturer, and its paint protection films are what we install as a Garware Authorised Studio. The range has several names — Plus, Premium, Titanium, Matte, coloured films and more — and customers often ask what actually changes between them. This guide sticks to what Garware itself publishes, plus what we see at the studio.
The three films most people compare
| Film | Finish | Garware e-warranty (as published) | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garware Plus PPF | High gloss, self-healing | 5 years | Owners who want genuine branded protection at a sensible price |
| Garware Premium PPF | High gloss, self-healing | 8 years | New cars kept for many years |
| Garware Titanium PPF | Gloss, self-healing | Lifetime e-warranty for the first owner | Owners who want the longest cover Garware offers |
Warranty periods are from Garware's product pages (Plus, Premium, Titanium) and cover defects in material and manufacture. Your exact cover is printed on the warranty certificate we issue.
What all of them share
- Self-healing top coat — light swirl marks fade with heat from the sun or warm water.
- Anti-yellowing, stain and chemical resistance, and a hydrophobic surface.
- Protection against stone chips, scuffs and door dings — the main reason to buy PPF at all.
Matte and colour films
Garware also makes matte PPF, which turns gloss paint into a satin look while protecting it, and coloured PPF, which changes the colour like a wrap but with the thickness and self-healing of a protection film. They are popular on performance cars and superbikes. Ask us to show samples in daylight before you decide — matte looks very different outdoors.
Why “genuine” matters
Unbranded rolls are sometimes sold as branded film. The warranty only applies to genuine film installed properly, so ask for the film name, the batch or roll number and a warranty certificate. With every PPF job we issue a digital warranty certificate that lists the exact film, coverage and batch number, and that you can check online any time.
How much does Garware PPF cost?
Price depends on the film, the car size and how much of the car you cover. At our studio, full-body PPF starts at ₹49,999, front-end PPF from ₹24,999 and high-impact areas from ₹14,999. We confirm the final price after checking your paint.
Our honest recommendation
If you plan to keep the car for three years or less, Plus is usually enough. For a new car you'll keep longer, Premium or Titanium makes sense — the longer warranty is what you are paying for. Whatever you choose, cover the front of the car at minimum; that is where nine out of ten chips happen.
